Protect Your Tap

Dover Township is asking for the customer’s help with completing our Lead Service Line Inventory. Lead is very dangerous to human health. For children, lead exposure can cause irreversible and life-long health effects, including affecting IQ, focus, and academic achievement. Drinking water is a potential source of lead in homes. PA DEP and the EPA are requiring that by October 16 of 2024 we have both the system owned side and the customer owned side inventoried. We are asking that all Dover Township water customers email us a photo of their service line where it comes through either your foundation wall or comes up through your floor if you do not have a basement to determine what material your service line is. We encourage you to email these photos and your address to Service@dovertownship.org.

Dover Township is confident that we do not have any lead services in our system. We are committed to providing our customers with safe and clean drinking water. As part of this commitment Dover Township will help to minimize the financial impact of any customer owned service lines that are determined to be lead.
