Tax Prep Volunteers Needed for Spring 2025 Tax Season

The AARP Tax-Aide Foundation Tax-Aide Program is expanding its team of volunteers in York County for the upcoming tax season. We are looking for capable, motivated, compassionate, friendly volunteers.

You don’t have to be a tax pro to volunteer with AARP’s Tax-Aide program. We’re looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in people’s lives: people who want to help those unable to afford professional tax preparation — and often miss out on much needed tax breaks and refunds — get money back in their pockets.

We also need volunteers to step up for a variety of roles in addition to tax preparers. The additional volunteer roles include schedulers, greeters, administrative support, instructors, technology assistant and translators. Tax-Aide volunteers receive comprehensive training. But best of all, giving back through Tax-Aide is rewarding and the camaraderie and support makes volunteering fun.

Last year in York County, nearly 100  AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers filed more than 4,300 Federal, PA and local tax returns. The program is offered at locations throughout York County.

For more information on how to get started as a volunteer, leave a message for Roxanne at 717.640.5006, email us at info@yorkaarptaxaide.com or visit our website at www.yorkaarptaxaide.com.

Three older adult volunteers in matching denim shirts work together at a table. One man is using a computer mouse, while a woman in glasses looks at the laptop screen and another woman holding papers observes. They appear to be collaborating on a task, possibly related to tax assistance.
