The County of York and York County Planning Commission are conducting a countywide survey to help determine the future needs and services that will make York County an even better place to live, work and play. The survey results will serve as a tool so officials can identify and address key issues affecting county residents in all communities throughout York County.
The survey results will be compiled with the results of a county strategic plan so that we can identify community priorities and create action plans to meet those priorities.
The survey will be mailed to randomly selected households within York County starting this week. Responses from the mailed surveys will ensure that results are statistically valid. A follow-up mailing the week of July 5 and July 19 will remind the households to return their surveys. The survey will be online starting July 13 for all York County residents who were not previously contacted by mail.
Learn more about the survey at several upcoming community events, including the Trey and Boo Memorial Basketball Tournament at Penn Park between June 25-27, First Friday in Downtown York on July 2 and the York Fair between July 23 and Aug. 1. The county will also partner with York County Libraries and other organizations to promote the survey and encourage all county residents to submit a response. Any resident who submits a full survey response has the option to enter a drawing to win one of five $100 gift cards.
