Dover Township has several parks that offer a variety of different options.
Brookside Park: 4054 Fox Run Rd.
Brookside Park is a historic park in Dover. It has four buildings that are available to rent for private events. There is also a playground, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a basketball court. The Carousel Building is one of the most famous buildings in Dover. In the fall of 2009 it was discovered that the building had been eaten away by a bug called a Powder Post Beatle. It was torn down in January of 2010 and has since been rebuilt to resemble to old building. It will be open for reservations after April 14, 2012. We also host several events at Brookside Park through out the year. We have Old Fashioned Carnival on the fourth Wednesday of July, Halloween in the Park on the last Friday in October, and Christmas in the Park on the first Saturday of December.
