TITLE: Plant Operator Trainee

DEPARTMENT: WWTP

GENERAL SUMMARY: Dover Township (Population 21,000+) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plant Operator Trainee to work at the Township’s Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. The ideal candidate is required to have a high school education or GED and 3 to 5 years experience in wastewater treatment or a related field. College/Technical courses may be substituted for experience. Under supervision and direction of a Certified Operator, the Incumbent will perform routine operational/maintenance tasks and perform laboratory tests under direction. Work schedules are frequently irregular and may require twenty-four hour on call status, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will have general knowledge of the wastewater treatment process and equipment such as blowers, pumps, and motors. The candidate will also be required to obtain a mandatory PA DEP Certification within 3 years from date of hire. TITLE: Public Works Director

DEPARTMENT: Public Works

GENERAL SUMMARY: Dover Township (Population 21,000+) seeks an experienced candidate to direct and manage public works to include the roads, wastewater treatment plant and its collection system, water treatment and its distribution system, and building and grounds issues. This developing rural Township operates under a five person Board of Supervisors and the Director will report to the Township Manager. Acceptable qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline with at least 5 years of experience in design, construction, operation, and inspection of public works functions or 5-7 years previous supervisory experience in public works. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate distinguished competency in the management of people and projects. Organizational skills are a must. Deadline for resumes is September 11, 2015.
