Code Enforcement Board
The Dover Township Building/Plumbing Board is a five (5) member Board advisory to the Board of Supervisors. Membership is a staggered five (5)year term. The authorization for this body is the BOCA Basic Building and BOCA Basic Plumbing Code adopted by the Township.
The Dover Township Industrial/Commercial Development Committee promotes industrial and commercial activities that will expand the Greater Dover Area tax base.

    Planning Commission
The Dover Township Planning Commission is a five (5) member Commission with one (1) alternate member. The term of office is a five (5) year staggered term. This Commission is an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors. The authority is granted by the Municipal Planing Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The local ordinance of control is the Subdivision and Land Development Plan of Dover Township and the Dover Township Comprehensive Plan. Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

parcel, plot or tract changes.



Submit recommendation for change and/or inclusion of ideas and ideals of
design substantiated by ordinance, engineering criteria and/or planning
concept.

Review all revisions to Zoning, including applications and Planning affected
by the Township

Review and occasionally recommend amendments to the Code(s)

    Sewer Authority
The Dover Township Sewer Authority is the owner and financier of the Wastewater Treatment Facility, a regional facility, for Dover Township. The body is a five (5) member, staggered term Authority authorized by the Authorities Act of 1945 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is a Non-Operating Authority due to a "Lease Back Agreement" of operation to the Township. Sewer Authority Meeting Minutes

operation and management



Coordinates with Dover Township on the appropriate treatment scenarios
and engineering protocols for best long-term utilization of the total system


Finance all upgrades and expansions of the Treatment Plant and the
collection system.


General oversight of the Operation and Maintenance of the plant and
collection system.

    Zoning Board
The Dover Township Zoning Board is a five (5) member Board. This body is a Quasi Judicial Body whose authority is granted by the Municipal Planning Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There is one (1) alternate member. The term is a five (5) year staggered term. Local authority and guide line of operational decision is established by the Dover Township Zoning Ordinance and the Dover Township Comprehensive Plan.
